Leviticus 23 is the single chapter from the entire Bible that sounds of everything.
"These are the set times of the Lord, the sacred occasions, which you shall celebrate each at its appointed time"- Leviticus 23:4
The Hebrew word for Feast is Mo'ed, which is translated as 'divine appointments'. More importantly, all 7 Feasts pointed to and fulfilled in Lord Yeshua.
These Feasts are divided into 2 seasons-The Spring and the Fall Feasts.

The first 3 Feasts- Passover(Pesach), Unleavened bread and First fruits falls on March and April.
The 4th one- Weeks or Pentecost(Shavu'ot) marks the summer harvest and falls on May and early June. These 4 Feasts are called Spring Feasts. Because they comes in the Spring month of the Hebrew calendar.

All the Feasts of the Lord are related to the Israeli agriculture of the year. The early Spring Feast is about barley harvest. Barley is the first crop to come early in the Spring(April). Then about 50 days later, comes the wheat harvest; the Feast of Pentecost relates to it. This is followed by a long summer when the fruits like grapes, pomegranate, olives begin to ripe.So the Feast of Tabernacles is more about the grapes harvest and final fruits of summer.
The Jewish people have different meanings to the scripture regarding the Messiah. And often repeated concept of the Jewish tradition is that there are two Messiahs, not one. There are 2 pictures of Messiah. The Jewish have identified the Messiah as a suffering servant and another one as the conquering King. They get the picture of the suffering servant from Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob, who was sold by his brothers in slavery and suffered prison for many years, before God finally raised him to be a leader next to the Pharaoh. Ans so the Jews called him the suffering type of Messiah, as he saved his people after he had raised up. He saved Egypt and his brothers(Jacob's sons) who became the nation of Israel.

Lord Yeshua(Jesus) came to this earth as a suffering servant like Joseph. But the Jews see the other Bible verses that talked about the conquering King, not the some one who is meek, humble, broken, bruised and suffered for them as in Isaiah 53. But they see the conquering King in Isaiah 63, and in many other scriptures where He comes mighty in a horse, to battle against the physical enemies of Israel. And so they expect the conquering King type Messiah rather than the humble servant.
The Spring Feasts give more picture of the suffering Messiah. The Fall Feasts are about the end of the prophetic calendar where we will see the coming of the King as in Revelation 19. Jesus will come as a Ruler, King, Judge, Warrior and these Fall Feasts are fulfilled by the King type Messiah
In future posts, we can see how the prophecies regarding the Messiah are fulfilled and how these Feasts of the Lord are signifying His coming.
