Spiritually Bankrupt
Man is made of Spirit, Soul and Body. I'm the beginning, Spirit of man is connected to his Maker. The body is given no importance. Because the Spirit of man is always connected to God and they cmunicate through that. When man is fallen, he lost his supernatural senses that is spiritual senses. After that he begins giving importance to body as he comes to know about the senses of the flesh such as hunger, thirst, lust etc.. His Spirit even though searches and seeks God, he simply have the urge to go on with his daily life. He has no time for God. He have to make time for his relationship with God. But in the olden days, he don't have any need other than God. Sin has given him way to disease, poverty, death and it makes him slave for working and living his life. Money is introduced by the devil to make man go behind the world's things and forget to seek the true God.
