The True Calendar
The True Calendar
How can I say that a calendar is true?
No one yet prove which calendar is the real one to follow; even the historians and scientists don't know that yet. Because they don't accept the 'God factor', they can't find the true one. They are just calculating from the days of what they think the creation would have happened, without even believing there would be a Creator for creating! They have found that the hen is there first before the appearance of the egg. But they don't know how the hen comes :D !
I, honestly believe in my Creator and the God factor, that's why it helps me to prove there is a true calendar! As per my study and research regarding the time, the Hebrew calendar is the only calendar that is directly given to the people by God Himself, so that prove to be a real one. In many cultures, there are calendars but they are calculated by the people themselves, just by mere knowledge of astrology or astronomy and by their predictions about stars, planets, birth of their gods.
No one knows the creation of the first man, other than him and the Creator. That's the first day for mankind too! According to the Bible, even before the creation of man, the universe and the earth is created. The Hebrew calendar(Jewish) follows from the date of creation of first man. This is given by God Himself to God's man, Moses. How Moses knew about the creation and the other things before his birth? God had given him all the things that happened before his birth- about creation of this universe, living things, Adam and Eve, their fall by sin, how the giants are in this earth(nephilim), the flood during Noah's period, Abraham, and the following generations. And these are recorded in the first five books of the Bible, which are all written by God's spirit inspired, Moses!
Who invented the Jewish calendar? Honestly I believe that the Lord is the creator of that calendar. If we want to think in human terms, in the 2nd century AD, the Jewish Rabbis worked very hard to create a calendar where they calculated the solar rotations and the lunar rotations; created a very mathematical calendar that allows only seasons to align up with the feasts and festivals. It's little bit complicated too. But really God is the author of the calendar.
God created lights like sun, moon, stars as signs of seasons. Now we can learn more about the Hebrew calendar. In Hebrew calendar, the hour is calculated by taking the total time of daylight from sunrise until sunset of a particular day.
The day is divided into
12 parts:
4 equal parts:
Coming back to the Hebrew calendar, it has 7 days per week. Prophet Moses instituted it to the Israelites. Moses got (from God), traced it from the first man of the planet earth. Jews celebrated every 7th day of the week as a holy day of rest from the world in remembrance of the creation. Whoever following the 7 days of the week in a calendar are acknowledging that God Almighty is the Creator of the universe.

- First hour of the day - begins 6 am at dawn
- Third hour of the day - begins at 9 am
- Sixth hour of the day - begins at 12 pm
- Ninth hour of the day - begins at 3 pm
- The day ends at the Twelfth hour at 6 pm in the twilight.
4 equal parts:
- First watch - from 6 pm evening to 9 pm
- Second watch - from 9 pm to 12 am
- Third watch - from 12 am to 3 am
- Fourth watch - from 3 am to 6 am
"..and the evening and the morning were the first day" Genesis 1:5.The reason why a day begins in darkness is that creation is in darkness before the light is created. So, a day begins in darkness, followed by the daylight reminding us of the creation of God's creation of light.
