Resurrection of Jesus and India

Even now I know people from India consider and tell Jesus as an English or foreign God. Because they believe Jesus is preached by the British. And the British gave the Bible in the hands of Indians.

Not everyone knows that Jesus has twelve disciples and one of them is Thomas. He is known as St.Thomas now. It is the responsibility Jesus gave these disciples to preach His gospel to the entire world and make them disciples of Christ and get them baptized in Him. This is a Heavenly thing why Jesus told them to do it. This is a calling for the entire mankind to receive true redemption from their sins. Let us talk about the Gospel in another post.

Thomas is not like other disciples. While Jesus is in this Earth, He told His disciples that He would be persecuted but would resurrect the third day. And they have to wait at Jerusalem to receive the Holy Spirit of God. Have He is persecuted these disciples were afraid and thought that they would be killed like Him. So they went to their jobs again and didn't think He would resurrect.

John 20:1–2 tells us that Mary Magdalene told them the Lord’s body was missing. After Peter and John viewed the empty tomb and departed, Mary Magdalene remained behind weeping, saw the angels in the tomb, asked about the missing body, and then had her own conversation with Jesus Himself. In John 20:17 Jesus sent her off to tell His brethren that He is alive, and verse 18 states that she obeyed. Mark 16:9–11 adds that Mary Magdalene was the first to whom the Lord appeared and that the disciples did not believe her story.

Meanwhile, the other women, finding the stone rolled away, entered the tomb and saw an angel sitting on the right. Suddenly they realized there were two angels, as Luke recorded. The angel tells the women to go tell the disciples and Peter.

Matthew 28:11–15 tells us of another important event on that Sunday morning. The guards told the chief priests what had happened. With the help of bribes in the right places, the chief priests hatched and spread the tale that the disciples had stolen the body while the guards slept. In so doing they confirmed for all of history that the tomb was really empty.
After hearing the women’s report and Peter and John’s account of the empty tomb, Cleopas and his companion set out on the road to Emmaus. During their trip they met with Jesus and were treated to an eye-opening Bible lesson as Jesus explained the Old Testament Scriptures that had been fulfilled by His suffering, death, and Resurrection. When the pair discovered that they had been breaking bread with Jesus, they hurried back to the city to report to the group. Upon arrival, they learned that the Lord had also had a personal meeting with Simon Peter. That meeting with Peter is reported in Luke 24:34.

Luke 24:33 tells us that the Emmaus road pair reported to “the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them.”
John 20:26 tells us that Thomas had to wait another eight days for Jesus to appear to the group again.
Jesus ate in their presence, proving His body was alive again (Luke 24:42).

According to John 21, Peter and six others decided to go fishing. Jesus instructed them to cast their net on the other side of the boat. When the disciples came ashore they found Jesus cooking breakfast for them. Jesus had His well-known “feed my sheep” conversation with Peter and told him about his future martyrdom. John mentions that this was “the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead,” meaning that it was the third time He appeared to them as a group (John 21:14). The first meeting was with the eleven minus Thomas, and the second meeting was when Thomas was present.

We learn from 1 Corinthians 15:7 that Jesus met with His half-brother James after appearing on the mountain.

Wherever this occurred, it seems to have been a catalyst for James, who was a skeptic (John 7:5), to believe that his half-brother truly was and is the Son of God.

1 Corinthians 15:7 also explains that Christ was seen by all the apostles one more time after His visit with James. This event is recorded in Acts 1( Matthew 28:18–20Mark 16:14–19Luke 24:44–53), Jesus led the apostles as far as Bethany on the eastern side of Mount Olivet near Jerusalem. There He gave them their final instructions before He ascended into heaven.

doubting Thomas is a skeptic who refuses to believe without direct personal experience—a reference to the Apostle Thomas, who refused to believe that the resurrected Jesus had appeared to the ten other apostles, until he could see and feel the wounds received by Jesus on the cross.

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: [then] came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace [be] unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed.

Why is Thomas so special? Because if he still doubted Jesus, he would not preach the gospel to India. Yes, Thomas is Jesus own disciple sent to India to preach the gospel. And he died there at Mylapore and the place is named as St.Thomas mount and there is a church in which his body is buried. So, even before the British, St.Thomas came to India to preach the gospel in divine obedience of the Lord.

India is special in the eyes of the Lord. Now India may seem to be a secular country with all the religions. But the ancient Indians like Dravidians don't worship any idols and the Aryans came from Babylon, bringing all the idol worships, sacrifices, mantras and witch crafts into India. So, Indians think themselves as religious with these gods. Because the ancient Harappan culture worship female, male genitals as gods, now they have linga as an idol god, which means erect male organ. And the base of linga is yoni, which is a female genital. Without  knowing the truth behind this, this idol is worshipped. They worshipped cows, animals and they became gods. If you study the Babylonian religions, the truth behind Indian idol worship will be revealed. Indians thinks these are their own traditional religions. It's really sad that they don't their roots and don't know their Creator.

Jesus is the true God who Himself proclaims that He is God. No idol tells that it is god in any vedas or puranas or upanishads. Jesus divides the history to AD and BC. He sent His own Disciple to India. India is also mentioned in the Bible in the book of Esther. That's how you know how important is India in the eyes of the Lord. I'm not telling India become a Christian country after Thomas' preaching but India is God's own country, that He sent Thomas to redeem it from these worst idols and religions, which are deceiving Indians.

Today also, many Christians in India are persecuted for Christ, and many non-indian missionaries have died for Christ in this land. Still the entire land is waiting to get redeemed by the true God. Pray for India.
